BUG: Undo Design View Changes Does Not Work

ID: Q191274

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Visual InterDev, version 6.0

SYMPTOMS

When the "Enable Scripting Object Model" property on the page is on, and the user makes changes to the page while in Design view then switches into Source view, the Undo option on the Edit menu or the Undo button does not work.

CAUSE

The Undo option does not work if the Scripting Object Model is enabled on the page.

RESOLUTION

After making changes in Design View, Undo all changes that you need to before switching into Source view. After being switched into Source view, changes will have to be undone manually.

Or, if the Undo feature is required after switching views, do not "Enable Scripting Object Model" on the page until all editing has been done. Then, on pages that require the Scripting Object Model in order to run properly, enable it before testing.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
