MORE INFORMATIONSteps to Reproduce Behavior
- Create Web project.
- Go to MMC, find the virtual root for the project, and right-click it. Go
into its properties in the Documents tab, and make sure the default page
for the Web is set to Default.htm.
- Create site diagram by right-clicking the Project name in the Project
Explorer, and selecting Add and clicking Site Diagram.
- If a home page isn't created automatically, then add one by clicking the
Add Home Page icon in the toolbar (if the toolbar isn't visible, select
Toolbars from the View menu, then click Site Diagram from the menu).
- Right-click the Home page, and click Property Pages. The URL will show
it as Default.htm.
- Go to MMC and change the default page for the Web to be Default.asp by
clicking the ADD button and typing "Default.asp." Back out at the text
area, highlight the default.htm and click Remove.
- Go back to site diagram and delete Home page (right-click and click
Delete).
- Create a new Home page by clicking the Add Home Page icon in the toolbar
(if the toolbar isn't visible, select Toolbars from the View menu, then
click Site Diagram from the menu).
- Right-click the home page again and enter its Property Pages. Notice
that the URL is still Default.htm.
Result:
The Home page is created is still Default.htm. If you try to change the URL
to point Default.asp, the page is no longer marked as the Home page.
Expected Result:
Default.asp will become the Home page when adding it to the Site Diagram.
