BUG: Memory Leak When Applying Visual Interdev 6.0 Theme/Layout

SYMPTOMS

The available virtual memory on a workstation running Visual Interdev, version 6.0 decreases over time as themes and layouts are applied to projects.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Start a new instance of Visual InterDev 6.0 in Debug mode.


  2. Open an existing Web project.


  3. Apply a theme/layout to your project.


  4. Close Visual InterDev 6.0.


The available virtual memory on the workstation decreases approximately 100 bytes.
