SYMPTOMS
If you click the Cancel button when adding a project to source code control in the Visual Basic Editor, you receive the following error
message:
You are not logged onto Visual SourceSafe and cannot perform any source code control operations.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Create and save a new workbook in Microsoft Excel.
- Press ALT+F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor.
- Use the Add-in Manager to load the VBA Source Code Control Add-in if it is not already loaded.
- On the Add-ins menu, point to VBA Source Code Control, and then click Add Project to SourceSafe.
- Click Cancel. Note that you receive the error message mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
