FIX: CompactJetRepository Only Recognizes Lowercase Jet db Names

SYMPTOMS

CompactJetRepository doesn't recognize a database as a Jet database if the .MDB portion is capitalized.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This has been fixed with Visual Studio Service Pack 1.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

Pass an uppercase path to a valid Jet database to the CompactJetRepository function.

Expected:

No error.

Results:

Can only compact Jet databases (*.mdb).
