MORE INFORMATION
Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- On a system that has Visual SourceSafe v5.0x and Visual FoxPro v5.0x,
apply the Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 2. This should update Visual
SourceSafe and Visual FoxPro files.
- Run Visual FoxPro and open a project that is under Source Code Control.
NOTE: If you do not already have a project under Source Code Control,
then create a new project or use an existing project and add it to
Source Code Control. For additional information, please see the
following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
Q157636 HOWTO: Set Up Source Code Control with SourceSafe
- Close the Project and leave Visual FoxPro running. After a wait of about
10 minutes, you'll note that Visual FoxPro is not visible on the Windows
Task bar and has shut down without any warnings or error messages.
NOTE: Similar problems exist under Windows 95. The difference is that
Visual FoxPro generates an Exception Error and then it is shut down.
