The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMS
On a computer running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with an extended partition
and no C: drive, the applications listed above fail to install correctly
when you are using ACME Setup. ACME Setup counts the logical drives, and
assigns drive letters in logical order.
Primary Partition 1, Letter Z:ACME Setup tries to install Visual Studio or Visual Basic on drive F: when drive W: is the system drive. ACME Setup also tries to install some of the files on drive D: and fails. ACME Setup assumes W: is C: and F: is D:. CAUSEThe combination of no C: drive and having an extended partition with logical drives. RESOLUTIONOne of two options:
