SYMPTOMSVisual J++ is not installed by the Visual Studio setup, even though Visual J++ is included in Visual Studio. RESOLUTIONInstall Visual J++ from the separate setup on the Visual J++ CD. STATUSThis behavior is by design. MORE INFORMATION
Visual J++ was not at ship quality at the time required for inclusion in
Visual Studio. Microsoft felt that an officially-released product should
not install beta software, so Visual J++ was pulled from the Visual Studio
setup. Also, Microsoft wanted to make it easy to update to the final Visual
J++ 6.0. As a result, Microsoft could not tie the Visual Studio setup to
the version of Visual J++ that was available.
