SYMPTOMSVisual Studio 6.0 installs and reinstalls with no errors, but when you start Visual InterDev the following error message appears: Visual InterDev starts if a new Windows NT user account is created and logged into the system. CAUSEThis error is caused by a corrupt user profile for Visual Studio. RESOLUTIONTo resolve the problem, rename the *.prf files to *.123 under the users (userid) folder as follows: Visual InterDev rebuilds these items for the user when started.
