Logon Scripts Do Not Support Unicode Characters

SYMPTOMS

The logon scripts you just created will not run. Symptoms include drives that are not mapped as requested.


CAUSE

The logon script may have been created using Notepad.exe or other editors that utilizes Unicode characters.


RESOLUTION

Make sure that the script is created with a DOS editor that uses ANSI characters and not with Notepad or other applications that utilize Unicode characters.
