SYMPTOMSHardware devices that have been marked as disabled in Device Manager in Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98 may be enabled when you upgrade to Windows 2000. CAUSEBecause of the differences between the Windows 95/98 and Windows 2000 architectures, hardware detection and enumeration must be performed on all devices by Windows 2000. Therefore, all devices are detected during Setup, regardless of their status before upgrading. STATUSThis behavior is by design. Additional query words: migrate
