SYMPTOMS

When you try to install your Xircom Pocket Ethernet-III (PE3) network adapter, Windows 2000 may not correctly detect the network adapter. Also, if you try to manually install this adapter, it does not appear on the list of network adapters that Windows 2000 provides.

CAUSE

This issue can occur because Xircom no longer provides drivers for this network adapter.
