Separator Page Located on UNC Path Is Not Printed

ID: Q216304

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0

SYMPTOMS

Although you can configure a Windows NT server to use a print separator page that is located on a remote share identified with a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path, the separator page is not printed when you print to the device for which the separator page is defined.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, copy the separator page to the local print server. Separator pages are stored in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder by default.
