SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Windows 2000 Logical Disk Manager (LDM) tool to try to convert your boot disk from a dynamic partition to a basic partition, the "Revert to basic" command is missing, and you are unable to do so. CAUSEThis issue can occur if you converted your boot disk from a basic partition to a dynamic partition. LDM does not support converting a boot disk from a dynamic partition to a basic partition. RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, delete all of your boot disk partitions after creating a full-system backup, create partitions of the same size as your original partitions, install Windows 2000, and then restore your full-system backup:
