Changing File Associations on a Server Running Services for Macintosh Does Not Affect Previously Saved Files

SYMPTOMS

When you change the file associations of extensions used by Services for Macintosh (SFM), files previously written to the volumes with these extensions will not be updated until they are opened and re-saved from a Macintosh client.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows 2000.
