Cannot Configure Outlook 98 Properties in Windows 2000 Server

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to configure Microsoft Outlook 98 properties using the Mail tool in Control Panel or by right-clicking the Microsoft Outlook icon on the desktop and then clicking Properties, you may receive the following error message:

You need more memory or system resources. Close some windows and try again.


CAUSE

This problem can occur if the Terminal Services service is installed and set to Execute mode.


RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, change the Terminal Services service mode to Install mode. To do so, type change user /install at a command prompt, and then press ENTER.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
