GSNW and CSNW Do Not Support the DISPLAY Command in NetWare Login Scripts

SYMPTOMS

When you use the DISPLAY or FDISPLAY command in a NetWare login script on a Windows 2000-based computer using Gateway Services for NetWare (GSNW) or Client Services for NetWare (CSNW), the text file specified with the DISPLAY or FDISPLAY command is not displayed.


CAUSE

The DISPLAY or FDISPLAY command is not supported in GSNW or CSNW.


RESOLUTION

The DISPLAY or FDISPLAY command is supported by the Novell Client for Windows 2000. Please contact Novell for information on current available versions of the Novell Client for Windows 2000.


STATUS

This behavior is by design.
