Server Manager Settings May Not Be Saved When You Shut Down Computer and the "Save Settings on Exit" Option Is Enabled

SYMPTOMS

When you enable the "Save Settings on Exit" option in Server Manager, your settings may not be saved when you shut down your computer.


CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you quit Server Manager by shutting down or logging off the computer.


WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, quit Server Manager using any of the following methods:

  • On the Computer menu, click Exit.


  • Press ALT+F4.


  • Click the Close button in the upper-right corner of the Server Manager window.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
