Internet Explorer Configuration Not Changed When Proxy Server or Client Software Is Removed

SYMPTOMS

When you uninstall the Microsoft Proxy 2.0 Server or Client software, the option to use a proxy server is not disabled in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

CAUSE

The Proxy Setup program does not modify any user's program configuration.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
