SYMPTOMSWhen you receive a message from the Messenger service, it may appear to be garbled. CAUSEThis behavior occurs when the regional settings for the computer that sends the message are different than the regional settings for the computer that receives the message. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATIONThe Messenger service on the receiving side does not run in the system context and does not detect the locale of the computer sending the message. Additional query words:
