SYMPTOMSWhen you run Windows 2000 Setup, if Chkdsk.exe repairs a hard disk problem that requires a reboot, you receive the following misleading error message: Setup then deletes the temporary Setup files, copies them all again, and continues. CAUSEIf Chkdsk finds something wrong with your hard disk, a reboot may be required to repair the problem. The reboot temporarily halts the Setup process. After the reboot, Setup copies all the files again to ensure that all the files are valid. Setup then resumes normally. STATUSThis behavior is by design. Additional query words:
