SYMPTOMSWhen you are installing Windows 2000 on a computer that has OS/2 installed on a hard disk formatted with the HPFS file system, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEHPFS is not a supported file system in Windows 2000. During Windows 2000 Setup, if you format the existing partition without deleting the partition first, you receive the error message. RESOLUTIONDelete the HPFS partition first during Setup, before creating and formatting a partition using the FAT or NTFS file system. Additional query words:
