Netscape Communicator Listed in Migration Report Upgrading from Windows 95/98 to Windows 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade from Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98 to Windows 2000 on a computer running Netscape Communicator, you are notified that the following items will not be migrated to Windows 2000:

Netscape Collabra (on the Start menu)
Netscape Communicator (on the desktop)
Netscape Composer (on the Start menu)
Netscape Conference Attendant (on the Start menu)
Netscape Conference (on the Start menu)
Netscape Mail Notification (on the Start menu)
Netscape Messenger (on the Start menu)
Netscape Navigator (on the Start menu)
Netscape Netcaster (on the Start menu)
However, when the upgrade process is finished, you can still run these programs successfully.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
