Displayed Pconsole Menu Is Different from NetWare 4.1 Menu

SYMPTOMS

When you run the NetWare print management tool (Pconsole) from a Windows 2000-based computer running Gateway Services for NetWare (GSNW) or Client Services for NetWare (CSNW), the Available Options menu is different from the actual NetWare 4.1 Pconsole menu. The differences in the Pconsole menu displayed by CSNW or GSNW include:

The Printers item is missing.

Item names are different from NetWare 4.1 item names.

RESOLUTION

To see the actual NetWare 4.1 Pconsole menu, run Pconsole from a computer running the Novell Client.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
