SYMPTOMSWhen you save a file in a program that uses common dialog boxes, the default location to save the file may not be the My Documents folder. CAUSEThis issue can occur if you open the program using an MS-DOS prompt from a folder that contains files registered to that program. Programs that use common dialogs check in the current folder, where you opened the program, to see if there are files that have a registered extension for that program. If it finds a file with a registered extension, then it opens that folder, otherwise it opens the My Documents folder.
