SUMMARY

In the Windows 2000 Calculator tool you can paste non-numeric characters into the display window.

MORE INFORMATION

The Windows 2000 Calculator tool supports keyboard equivalents of calculator buttons, and key sequence functions. If you paste non-numeric characters inadvertently into the display window, you may experience unexpected results.

Key Sequence Functions Example

The letter o is the keyboard equivalent of the Cosine (cos) function. When you type the number 0, followed by the letter o, you produce the result 1, since cos(0) = 1.

Use the letter s for the Sine (sin) function. When you type the number 0, followed by the letter s, you produce the result 0, since sin(0) = 0.

A complete list of keyboard equivalents and key sequence functions can be found in the "Using keyboard equivalents of Calculator buttons" and "Using key sequences as functions" help topics in the Calculator tool.
