Superscript and Subscript Characters Cropped in WordPad

SYMPTOMS

When you view some superscript and subscript characters in Microsoft WordPad, the top or bottom of the characters may be cropped.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the superscript or subscript characters are larger than 24 pts.

NOTE: Superscript and subscript characters can only be seen in WordPad if the document was created using a program that is capable of creating these characters.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
