SYMPTOMSWhen you try to use a removable-media disk on a computer running Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 or earlier, you may receive the following Dr. Watson error message: If you continue to try to use the disk, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEThis issue can occur if you try to use a removable-media disk that uses the version of the NTFS file system included with Windows 2000 on a computer running Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 or earlier. RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, upgrade your Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3-based computer to Service Pack 4. After you do so, you can use removable-media disks that use the version of the NTFS file system included with Windows 2000. STATUSThis behavior is by design.
