SYMPTOMSAfter you upgrade your Microsoft Windows 98/95-based computer to Windows 2000, all sample script files for the Windows Script Host (WSH), usually located in the Windows\Samples\Wsh folder, are missing. Also, any sample scripts copied to other locations while keeping the same name are missing. However, custom scripts you may have created remain intact. CAUSE
This issue occurs because the upgrade process removes all portions of the Windows 98/95 installation, including the WSH sample scripts. RESOLUTIONTo prevent this issue from occurring, before you upgrade your Windows 98/95-based computer to Windows 2000, perform the following steps:
