Custom Color Boxes Are Displayed as Black Squares

SYMPTOMS

When you are customizing a folder and you choose to define your own custom background color, all of the Custom Color boxes may be either black or white in the Customize This Folder Wizard.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs with some video adapters.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, try a different video adapter.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
