SYMPTOMSDuring the text-mode portion of Windows 2000 setup, the Txtsetup.sif file is placed in three locations on the hard disk:
CAUSESetup uses all three copies of the Txtsetup.sif file during various parts of the installation process. The files do not remain on the computer after Setup is finished. STATUSThis behavior is by design. MORE INFORMATIONNote that drive C may not always contain all three copies of the file, depending on the location in which Windows 2000 Setup writes temporary files.
