While you are installing Windows 2000, you may encounter a loop during GUI-mode Setup at the video-mode selection screen. CAUSE
Windows 2000 Setup prompts you for video settings only when it cannot detect the type of video adapter installed. When this occurs, Setup loads the standard VGA video driver, which supports only 16 or 256 colors. RESOLUTIONTo finish Windows 2000 Setup, replace the video adapter with a supported video adapter that is listed on the Windows 2000 Hardware Compatibility List (HCL), and then start Setup again.
