SYMPTOMSIf you customize a folder that has a subfolder named Folder Settings, the subfolder named Folder Settings may seem to disappear. CAUSE
When you customize a folder, Windows 2000 saves files necessary for that customization in a subfolder named Folder Settings. The Folder Settings folder is marked as hidden. If a folder named Folder Settings exists, Windows 2000 marks the existing Folder Settings folder as hidden and places the necessary files in the existing folder. If the "Hide protected operating system files" and "Do not show hidden files and folders" options are enabled, the Folder Settings folder disappears. RESOLUTIONTo recover your data in the Folder Settings folder:
