No Warning Running Windows NT 4.0 Setup in Windows 2000

SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows 2000 on your computer, you can run the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 version of the Winnt32.exe Setup program. If you do so, you receive no error message or other warning to indicate that the Setup program may install an earlier operating system and damage or replace the Windows 2000 installation.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
