Computer Pauses When AppleTalk Tab Is Clicked

SYMPTOMS

When you click the AppleTalk tab in RAS properties, the computer may pause. When this occurs, you see the following message:

Unable to access network for range and zone information. Please check to see if AppleTalk is installed and running.
The computer pauses while this information is being displayed.


CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you click an adapter that is on a network that is not seeded for AppleTalk. AppleTalk displays a message to notify you that it cannot find any AppleTalk information on the network.


STATUS

This behavior is by design.
