SYMPTOMS

You can specify both manual and automatic proxy settings in the Internet Connection Wizard. These settings might seem to be mutually exclusive.

CAUSE

You can specify both manual and automatic proxy settings in the Internet Connection Wizard so that the manual settings can be used if the automatic discovery does not obtain a proxy setting.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
