SYMPTOMSWhen you delete, move, or copy a very large file or group of files, the display may not be refreshed until the delete, move, or copy process finishes. Note that this behavior may be more noticeable when you perform these actions over a network connection. CAUSEThis issue can occur if the Central Processing Unit (CPU) is too busy processing the delete, move, or copy command. When this occurs, the CPU may be unable to refresh the display until the delete, move, or copy process finishes. RESOLUTIONTo work around this issue, wait until the delete, move, or copy process finishes, and your display is then refreshed. MORE INFORMATIONWhen you perform these tasks in Windows Explorer, the display is unable to refresh while the CPU usage is at 100 percent capacity servicing the current task. After the task is complete, the display refreshes, and the computer functions as expected. Additional query words: lock graphic cut paste freeze
