Boot Menu Not Displayed for the Amount of Time You Specify

SYMPTOMS

You can specify the amount of time the Boot menu will be displayed when you start your computer by clicking the Advanced tab in System properties, clicking Startup and Recovery, and then specifying the appropriate value in the Display list of operating systems for nn seconds box. However, when you restart the computer, it may start in two seconds, no matter what time value you specified.


CAUSE

This behavior occurs if there is only one operating system installed.


STATUS

This behavior is by design.
