Err Msg: System Process System Standby Failed

SYMPTOMS

When a computer running Windows 2000 goes into standby mode, you may receive the following error message:

System Process System Standby Failed
The system cannot go into standby mode because the driver \driver\driver failed the request to standby
You may also notice that the Windows NT Legacy Support area of Device Manager contains entries with a yellow warning icon.


CAUSE

This behavior occurs because some older video adapters do not support Advanced Power Management (APM).


STATUS

This behavior is by design.
