SYMPTOMSWhen you try to start Windows using a bootable floppy disk, Windows may start using the hard disk instead. CAUSEThis issue can occur if a bootable copy of the Microsoft Windows 2000 CD-ROM is in your CD-ROM drive and you configure your computer in the BIOS to start using the following devices in the following order:
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, remove the Windows 2000 CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive or configure your computer in the BIOS to use the floppy drive first to start the computer. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows 2000. Additional query words: boot
