All Files Contained in an Offline Folder Are Marked for Offline Use

SYMPTOMS

When you mark a folder for offline use, all the files and folders contained in that folder are marked for offline use as well.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, mark only the files you want to use offline instead of the folder that contains them.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
