SUMMARYThis article describes the fax events counters in Performance Monitor. MORE INFORMATIONThe Fax service object monitors fax events while the Fax service is running. You can use the following counters in conjunction with the event log data about fax events to evaluate the Fax service performance. Inbound Failed ReceptionsThe Inbound Failed Receptions counter is used to display the number of calls answered where you did not receive a fax.Outbound Failed ConnectionsThe Outbound Failed Connections counter is used to display the number of faxes that you attempted to send, but were not sent. This can occur because there was no dial tone, no answer, a busy signal, or another unknown error.Outbound Failed TransmissionsThe Outbound Failed Transmissions counter is used to display the number of faxes not sent even though you connect to the recipients fax machine.NOTE: If you see values for these counters, check the event log for more details. The event log may note that there is no dial tone, no answer, or a busy signal. An unknown error may indicate a problem with your computer. In this case, check the phone line for line noise and check the sending and receiving fax devices for an incorrect modem driver. Additional query words:
