You cannot use the Users and Passwords tool in Control Panel to set the password for the currently logged-on user, or for any domain user.
MORE INFORMATIONTo change passwords, the currently logged-on user must type the "secure attention sequence" (or SAS). This is the CTRL+ALT+DELETE key combination. Only the operating system can respond to the SAS. This helps protect against Trojan horse programs collecting passwords by impersonating the change password interface. Additional query words:
