System and Hidden File Attributes Lost Saving a File with Edit.com

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Edit.com tool to save a file with the Hidden and System file attributes set, those attributes are lost.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, manually set the Hidden and System file attributes for the file after you save it with Edit.com.
