SYMPTOMS

The Windows-based Telnet.exe tool cannot connect to the Windows 2000 Telnet server because it does not support NTLM authentication.

RESOLUTION

The Windows-based Telnet.exe tool is being replaced by the command-line-based tool. Use the command-line-based Telnetc.exe tool to connect to the Telnet server.
