SYMPTOMS

In Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) for Windows 2000, you can add invalid characters in the "Phone number of this device" box.

The phone number is used as the Called Station ID and for use in Bandwidth Allocation Protocol-enabled connections.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
