To add a Network Client, Protocol or Service in Windows 2000, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-click Network and Dial-Up Connections.


  3. Right-click the network connection for which you want to add a network component, and then click Properties.


  4. If the network component that you want to install is not in the list of installed components, click Install.


  5. Click the network component you want, and then click Add.


  6. Click the component you want to install, click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
