SYMPTOMSOn a Windows 2000-based server with Terminal Services enabled, Advanced Power Management (APM) features (including the Suspend and Hibernate commands) are disabled. The only power management features that are available with Terminal Services enabled are the powering down of hard disks and monitors. CAUSEA Windows 2000-based server with Terminal Services enabled is considered to be a computer with high availability requirements. Features such as the Suspend and Hibernate commands should not be used in this environment. STATUSThis behavior is by design.
