Q147222 Appears on Information Tab Even When It Is Not Applied

SYMPTOMS

When you view the list of installed hotfixes on the Information tab in Terminal Services Manager, Q147222 is on the list with a red "x" next to it. This may occur even if you have not applied the fix from Q147222. Also, this appears on all Windows 2000-based computers with Terminal Services enabled.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of the presence of the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\HotFix\Q147222

This entry must exist for certain Microsoft Exchange components such as Outlook Web Access (OWA) to be installed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
