SYMPTOMS
After an administrator installs all of the features for programs of an office suite (for example, Microsoft Office 2000) on a computer running Windows 2000 and sets the features to be "Run from My Computer", the expectation is that programs are completely installled and that users do not receive any Windows Installer notification messages. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the feature (for example, SpellCheck in Microsoft Word) is associated with short-cuts during Setup. STATUSThis is by design. MORE INFORMATIONThe shared components are in effect hidden during the setup process of the office suite, and there is nothing in the package or transform that triggers their installation until they are used.
